Sikorski added the following statements to cap off the season outlook.

"Since taking over the program this past fall we have seen tremendous improvement and expect big things this upcoming spring.  We put together a solid Fall season where we finished 2-2 and were competitive in every game we played, which I feel really brought new life to the program.  The players now believe that we can compete and win every time we take the field.  We have several returning players this spring and we have added a few key players to the team as well. I strongly believe that with the solid players that are returning and the key pieces that we added that we can expect big things this upcoming season."

Sikorski commented on what to expect from the upcoming 2018 Roaring Lion squad.

"We will rely on several pitchers this spring to carry us through the season. Senior Pitcher Kody Thomas and Sophomore Austin Clark return in 2018 to lead the pitching staff this season. Key newcomers are in Freshman-Leonel Valdez, a transfer from Arizona and WCCC Freshman-transfer Russell RItenour will also provide depth to our pitching staff that also includes Freshman-Mike Ludrosky (Carmichaels), Sophomore-Justin Salom (New York), Freshman-Jordan Eicher (Laurel Highlands), and Freshman-Christian Idrovo (Uniontown). Our outfield will be anchored down by Freshman Centerfielder Jaryn Addis and will also feature Michael Ludrosky, Kody Thomas, Austin Clark, Christian Idrovo, and Luis West. We expect to see key returning infielders presence in Sophomore second baseman Ross Mazer (MD), Justin Salom (NY), SS-Russell Ritenour, 1B-Jordan Eicher, 1B-Kody Thomas, and SS/3B-Austin Clark will also see time in the infield. Matt Morgan will take on the starting catcher role for us this season with Austin Clark sharing some time at the position."
