Baseball splits with Beaver

Monaca, PA- Fayette splits games with Beaver.

Fayette was the first to score, with 3 runs in the third inning when Josh Burns doubled bringing in 2 runs and scored a run himself. Fayette was able to score 2 more runs throughout the game, to Beaver's 2. Josh Burns and Sawyer D'Andrea led for Fayette with 2 RBI's a piece. Remington Lessman pitched all seven innings with 4 strikeouts. Fayette was able to achieve their first conference win with a score of 5-2.

For the second game, Fayette started out with the lead of 2 runs in the first. Beaver found their groove for the second inning, scoring 7 runs. Fayette struggled to get the bats hot, while Beaver scored 8 runs in the fourth. Beaver was able to finish the game with a big lead, with a score of 15-4. Leading for Fayette was Johnny Ioannou with 2 runs, 1 hit, and a stolen base.

Fayette will play at home Tuesday against Penn Shenango for a USCAA matchup at 2:00 P.M.
