Baseball gets a big split against Mont Alto

Mont Alto, PA- Baseball gets big win against Penn State Mont Alto.

Fayette split a double header with Penn State Mont Alto last night on the road. The first game for Fayette go as planned with Mont Alto coming out swinging, scoring 15 runs to Fayette's 4. However, Fayette caught fire and carried the momentum into the second game of the double header. Second year player, AJ Segarra held Mont Alto strong, pitching all seven innings of the game. In the top of the fifth, bats caught fire for the Fayette team with 5 runs and then 3 more in the sixth. Fayette finished the game on top with a 12-4 win over the USCAA Nationally ranked team. Showing big offensively for Fayette was Johnny Ioannou with 3 runs, 3 RBIs, and 2 hits. First year player Aidan Schnurer was not far behind with 3 hits, 2 hits, and 2 RBIs. 

Fayette will look forward to this weekend to play the 2nd ranked PSUAC West, Penn State Greater Allegheny at West Mifflin High School's field.
