Golf team has strong showing at PSU DuBois Invitational

The Penn State Fayette golf team placed third at the 2019 PSU DuBois Invitational Tuesday at the DuBois Country Club Monday after shooting a 348.

"Our returning players are performing well at this time and we continue to practice with our freshmen," said head coach Dave Gumbert. "I will continue to look for improvement as the weeks progress to the USCAA/PSUAC finals in October."

Louis Gonzales (Port Lavaca, TX/Calhoun HS) looked best for Fayette as he navigated the postage stamp-sized greens efficiently to shoot a 79.

Gumbert also mentioned the play of Ryan Gesso (Uniontown, PA/Laurel Highlands), Noah House (Mt. Pleasant/Southmoreland HS), Ethan Greene (Carmichaels, PA/Carmichaels HS), Jarred Provance (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown HS) and Kalianna Rager (Alverton, PA/Alverton HS).
