Golf finishes sixth at PSUAC White Invitational

State College, Pa - The Penn State Fayette Golf team opened its 2021 season Thursday as it participated in the Penn State University Athletic Conference Invitational.

The team took sixth out of the 10 teams that competed with an overall score of 352.  Penn State York won the event with a score of 313.

"Our team is young and showed incredible resilience through yesterday's weather conditions and the 30-minute rain delay," said Fayette Interim Director of Athletics, who served as the coach as the program's new coach will be named shortly. "This was our first competition as a team.  As we continue to develop and refine the individual skill sets, we should see major improvement in our team consistency and comfortability."

James Zakrzwski looked best by shooting a 79.  Matt Morgan shot an 87, Dylan Pawlak was next with a 91, Niklas Gibson shot a 95, Nick Sinal finished with a 104 and Nate Moody shot a 105.

Fayette is back in action on Wednesday, September 15 at Penn State Mont Alto.  Tee time is set for 11:15 a.m.
