Although outrebounded 35-34, Fayette limited turnovers to eight, maintaining a two-point halftime advantage before throughout much of the second half. Scranton made a run midway through the second half to go ahead by eight with 11:18 remaining, but Fayette clawed back and was able to put it away with a jumper by sophomore Andrew Hoye, who finished with seven points and six rebounds.
