Fayette Dominates Wildcats, 104-53

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Penn State Fayette (5-6, 4-0 PSUAC) placed five players in double figures on Saturday, cruising to a 104-53 victory over Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference foe Penn College on Saturday afternoon.

 

Senior Joshua Tomson (Greensburg, Pa.) led the charge with a season-high 19 points, including five three-pointers. Junior James Pratt (Uniontown, Pa.) added 17 points, seven assists and four steals for the Roaring Lions, while freshman Brandon Cunningham (Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.) grabbed a game-high eight rebounds to go along with 14 points and six assists. Junior David Winns (Washington, DC) added 12 points, and sophomore Tyler VanOlst (California, Pa.) notched 10 points to round out the players in double figures for Fayette.

 

Fayette dominated the glass, outrebounding the Wildcats 52-37, and received 38 points from their bench. Overall, 11 Fayette players scored, and the Roaring Lions shot nearly 58 percent from the field, going 37-for-63. Fayette also shot a season-high 54 percent from three-point range, going 13-for-24.

Scott Fenton led Penn College with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Michael Acquaro added 10 points and five assists.

 

Fayette hosts Rochester College at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8 before returning to PSUAC action with a tilt against Penn State Mont Alto on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 3:00 p.m.
