CALIFORNIA, Pa. – California University of Pennsylvania used a 15-1 run in the middle of the first half to take control of the game and hand the Roaring Lions an 84-55 win at the Convocation Center in California.
Sophomore Brandon Cunningham (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) led the Roaring Lions with 16 points, with senior David Winns (Washington, D.C.) adding 15. No other Fayette player scored in double figures.
The Roaring Lions struggled from the field, shooting just 16.7 percent from the three point line and 28.6 for the game.
The Vulcans were led by Anthony Lytle and Tynell Fortune who scored 16 each. Jake Jacubec added 11 and Jeremy Posey 10.
Fayette falls to 0-1 on the young season. The Roaring Lions will travel to Geneva College for the Coaches
