Roaring Lions Lose Fifth Straight

LATROBE, Pa. – The simple summation of Saint Vincent's 83-56 victory of the Roaring Lions on Thursday night was that it was a tale of identical halves.

Fayette (1-5) scored 28 points in each half while surrendering 41 in the first and 42 in the second.

Saint Vincent (4-2) got 44 points from its bench and scored 27 points of turnovers.

Along the way, David Winns (Washington, D.C.) scored 17 points to lead all scorers and Brandon Cummingham (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) added 12 for Fayette. Ryan Hart (Pittsburgh, Pa.) chipped in with 10. Winns pulled down eight rebounds and Hart six. James Pratt (Uniontown, Pa.) had five steals for the Roaring Lions.

Despite shooting a respectable 45 percent from the field, Fayette struggled from three-point range, making just one of 14 shots.

Fayette opens conference play on Friday with a trip to Penn State York.
