Pratt Reaches 1,000 in Roaring Lions 82-70 Win Over Greater Allegheny

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. – The Roaring Lions made it two in a row with a convincing 82-70 win over Penn State Greater Allegheny on a historic night at Fayette's Main Arena.

Just three-and-a-half minutes into the game, Senior James Pratt (Uniontown, Pa.) put himself into the record books by stealing the ball and going end to end to convert a layup that gave him 1,000 ponts for his career.

Pratt led Fayette with 21 points while dishing out six assists. Brandon Cunningham (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) added 16 and Ryan Hart (Pittsburgh, Pa.)  11 for the Roaring Lions (7-9, 6-2).

With 3:09 to play in the first half, GA's Aaron Byrd hit a jumper to put the Roaring Lions down by 10.

Pratt started an 11-2 run with a four-point play, converting the free-throw after being fouled while hitting a three-pointer. Tony Bristol (Charleroi, Pa.) capped the run with a three pointer. The Roaring Lions trailed 36-34 at the half.

Hart's free throw three minutes into the half gave Fayette the lead that it would never relinquish.  Derek Jones (Brownsville, Pa.) drilled a three to cap a 17-2 run that put the Roaring Lions in control of the game.

The difference in the game turned out to be at the free throw line where Fayette made 24 of 33 to Greater Allegheny's 10-20.

Nineteenth-ranked Fayette will travel to Penn State Scranton on Friday for a 3 p.m. tipoff. Follow the game on Live Stats.

Pratt joins David Winns (Washington, D.C.) and Michael Speelman as members of Fayette's 1,000 point club.
