Roaring Lions Clinch Playoff Berth in 92-53 win Over Greater Allegheny

MCKEESPORT, Pa.—For all of the nail biters that the Roaring Lions have had recently, their 92-53 win over Penn State Greater Allegheny on Monday had to be refreshing.

Fayette jumped to a 26-11 lead early and continued to build upon that, leading 44-22 heading into the locker room at halftime.

The second half featured much of the same as the Roaring Lions slowly built upon their lead, outscored the home side 48-31 in the final 20 minutes to clinch the team's second consecutive playoff berth.

Fayette (10-11, 9-4) was led by Ryan Hart (Pittsburgh, Pa) and Brandon Cunningham (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) who both scored 16 and pulled down seven rebounds as the Roaring Lions won their third in a row.

James Pratt (Uniontown, Pa.) scored 13 and grabbed six rebounds while Tony Bristol (Charleroi, Pa.) scored 10 off of the bench.  Andrew Hoye (Scenery Hill, Pa.) added nine with five rebounds.

Fayette travels to Penn State Beaver on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip before returning home to host Penn College of Technology on Sunday with a 2 p.m. tip.
