Roaring Lions bounce back: Beat Brandywine 88-70

Fayette (4-5, 3-1 PSUAC), was able to put a disappointing loss to Lehigh Valley the day before behind them and bounce back against Penn State Brandywine on Sunday. The Lions controlled much of the game in an 88-70 victory to close out the trip.

Shooting warmed up as the snow began to fall, as the Roaring Lions of Fayette improved from the field, making nine of  24 from behind the three-point line.  Focusing on sharing the ball, the Lions totaled 19 assists during the win.  Bronder and Mack were among the game's high scores, pouring in 22 and 20 respectively – finishing with nearly half of the Roaring Lion offensive total.  Dominick Jackson (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Dierre Jenkins (Uniontown, Pa.) finished the game with four steals each, turning fast break opportunities into points.  Derek Jones (Brownsville, Pa.) continued to stay hot from long range, going 3-for-3 from behind the arc.  Before fouling out on a controversial blocking call with 10 minutes left in the game, point guard C.J. Gaddis (Brownsville, Pa) tallied six assists and pulled down four rebounds.  Sean Smoggie (Carmichaels, Pa.) played a solid defensive game and went 4-for-4 from the charity stripe down the stretch.

The Roaring Lions are back in action Friday night at 8:00 p.m. in the Community Center's Main Arena as they host rival Penn State Beaver.
