NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – Fayette put four starters in double figures as the Roaring Lions defeated Penn State New Kensington 80-70 on Saturday at New Ken.
Matt McKenna (Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Roaring Lions (11-12, 10-5) to their sixth win in the last nine games. Derek Jones (Brownsville, Pa.) added 16 to go with six rebounds.
Dierre Jenkins (Uniotown, Pa.) added 15 while C.J. Gaddis (Charleroi, Pa.) notched 11 and dished out six assists. Spencer Perieff (Laihania, Hawaii) grabbed eight rebounds, handed out six assists and scored nine.
Fayette returns to action on Friday, Feb. 14 when the Roaring Lions host Penn State Scranton with an 8 p.m. tip. It will we Coaches v Cancer night, where all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
