Fayette Holds Off Late Greater Allegheny Rally to Finish Semester 7-0

In a game where every Roaring Lion in a uniform saw game action, Penn State Fayette held off a late Greater Allegheny rally to secure a 100-85 victory, heading into the semester break 7-0 in PSUAC play.

Led by a trio of Seniors in the scoring column, Brandon Cunningham (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) posted 25 points, Matt McKenna (Pittsburgh, PA) followed with 20, and Jacob Bronder (Jefferson Hills, PA) finished with 14.  Scoring has been balanced for the Lions, as they got 25 production points from their bench.

"Dierre (Jenkins, Uniontown, PA) played a much bigger role tonight than what just shows up in the scoring column.  He found a way to get his hands on a few rebounds, a few steals, and a few loose balls.  At times, he was watching their best offensive player, and he did very well (G.A.'s Petrie Addison)," commented Roaring Lion Coach Mookie John.

Junior point guard CJ Gaddis (Brownsville, PA) continued his impressive play as the floor general.  Gaddis finished the night with 14 assists.

Junior guard Luke Williams (Lahaina, Hawaii) watched Addison for the majority of the night, limiting his baskets while guarding him.  "Luke is one of our best defenders, and he wants to watch the other team's best scorer.  He's got a tough mentality, and he looks at it as his job to play their best offensive guy," boasts Head Coach Mark John.

Williams finished with 7 points, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 4 rebounds in just 18 minutes of action.  "Luke was limited in minutes because of a few early foul calls," added John.

Sophomore guard Tony Bristol (Charleroi, PA) came in off the bench to score 9, going 2-3 from the field, 1-1 from the arc, and 4-4 from the charity stripe.

The Lions are off until January 4th, when they host St. Vincent in a rematch from earlier in the year.
