In his final game as a Roaring Lion, Penn State Fayette's Matt McKenna scored his 1,000th point in a Fayette uniform on his first bucket in a 124-119 win over Central Penn. The win set a USCAA tournament record for most points scored in a game, with McKenna pouring in a game high 38 in his finale.
McKenna, transfer student, came to the Roaring Lions just prior to the start of the second semester of the 2013-14 season, and finished his career with 1,037 points in only three semesters as a Roaring Lion.
"the feat is amazing, considering he only played for us for three semesters," commented head coach Mookie John. He added, "Matt was a pleasure to coach. He showed up early, left late, and was the true definition of a leader on and off the court."
