Roaring Lions Sweep Weekend Games

Going into the weekend, the Roaring Lions were on a five-game losing streak, and they were looking to break that streak. They not only broke their losing streak over the weekend, but they are now on a two-game winning streak. They won against Penn State Brandywine on Friday and then garnered another win on Saturday against Penn State Lehigh Valley.

On Friday, Fayette dominated in the first half of the game against Brandywine. They held the lead for the most part of the first half. And the Roaring Lions were up by 11 points going into the half. The Lions carried that momentum into the second half. At one point, Fayette had a 17 point lead. But Brandywine wasn't going to be that easily defeated. They crept back into the game. And with less than three minutes to go, Brandywine took the lead. But in the end, Fayette was too much for Brandywine. And the Roaring Lions won 86-83.

Fayette had five double-digit scorers. Marvin Sidon led Fayette in scoring and tied for overall points with 19. He also had three assists and three rebounds. Dominick Jackson had 15 points, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds. Spencer Perieff had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Brady Winge had 10 points and 8 rebounds. And coming off the bench, Tanner Huffman had 12 points.

On Saturday, the Lions started off slow in the first half of the game against Penn State Lehigh Valley. Fayette found themselves down six points going into the half. Fayette found their momentum in the second half with around 11 minutes left. They took the lead and would not relinquish it for the rest of the game. Fayette won 92-81.

Fayette once again had five double-digit scorers. Dominick Jackson led all scorers with 22 points. He also had 4 rebounds. Marvin Sidon had another 19 point game. He also had 4 assists. Spencer Perieff scored 12 points. And coming off the bench, London Hoxie and Jeffery Waters had a nice game. Hoxie put up 17 points, and Waters put up 11 points and had 11 rebounds. 

Penn State Fayette is now 5-7 in PSUAC and 7-13 overall. The Roaring Lions will look to extend their two-game winning streak on Tuesday against Penn State Greater Allegheny. Tip-off is set for 8pm.
