Hoxie leads Roaring Lions past PS Schuylkill

Lemont Furnace, PA – Entering the weekend, the Penn State Fayette men's basketball team would compete in their first contest since January 5th and their first PSUAC match-up for the spring season against Penn State Schuylkill. The Roaring Lions picked right up where they left off since winning their non-conference bout against Butler County Community College.

Led by junior forward London Hoxie (1st half-16 pts, 5 rebs, 2 ast) and junior guard Marvin Sidon (1st half-10 pts, 4 rebs, 3 ast), Fayette managed to post an impressive 48 points in the first half, putting the Roaring Lions up by 11 going into the 2nd half.

With a 2nd half standout performance by Hoxie, tallying 20 pts (36 total) and 7 rebs (12 total), Fayette posted a 53 point performance. Although, standout performances by Schuylkill's Khari Thompson (19pts), Kody Jacoby (17 pts), and Lamonttea Brown (15 pts) would win them the 2nd half, Fayette's early lead proved to be the deciding investment towards their eventual 101-94 home win.

Men's basketball will be back in action January 19thth as they travel to Penn State York for an 8pm tipoff.
