Men's Basketball break win streak; drop both PSUAC matches over weekend

York, PA- Penn State Fayette traveled to York for a PSUAC game against Penn State York to get the weekend underway.  Things never quite went the Roaring Lions way as they faced a deficit of 41-22 at the end of the first half.  Penn State Fayette would rally in the second half where they were able to post 38 points by the final buzzer.  However, Penn State York was able to counteract this feat by scoring 50 points for themselves.  The final score would end up being 91-60 in favor of Penn State York.

The Roaring Lions were led by Marvin Sidon.  Sidon was able to account for 18 points and 2 rebounds.  The only other player to reach double figures for the Roaring Lions was Tavian Mozie who came in as a reserve to account for 13 points and 4 rebounds, 3 of which were credited as offensive. 

Penn State York's scoring was very evenly spread across with 13 out of 14 players able to score at least 2 points.  Penn State York's offensive charge was led by Jordin Brown who was the leading scorer as a reserve able to contribute 15 points.  Other Double figure scorers for Penn State York were Joey O'Dwyer who posted 13 points and Richard Grant who posted 10 points.

Mont Alto, PA- In a short gap of less than twenty-four hours the Roaring Lions men's basketball team traveled to Penn State Mont Alto for a PSUAC match-up following a 91-60 loss the night before.

Penn State Fayette was able to go blow for blow with Penn State Mont Alto posting a measly deficit of 37-33 at the half.  Once the second half was underway the Roaring Lions were able to outscore Penn State Mont Alto 39-37.  The four point deficit that the roaring Lions had amassed at halftime would prove to be the dagger by losing the game with a final of 74-72. 

The Roaring Lions had some solid performance led by London Hoxie who accounted for 21 points and 9 rebounds.  The Roaring Lions also had two other players scoring in double figures which were Atrayo Matthews and Marvin Sidon, Matthews with 16 points and Sidon with 11.

Penn State Mont Alto was mostly able to score with their starting lineup that accounted for 67 of their 74 total points.  Jalen Smith led all scorers with 19 points and 7 rebounds.  Other double figure scorers for Mont Alto included Jihad Warner with 16 points and Ryan Hege with 14 points. 

Men's basketball will be back in action January 23rd as they take on Penn State Greater Allegheny for a home game with an 8pm tipoff.
