Roaring Lions fall in rescheduled contest against PSU Hazleton

Lemont Furnace, PA- The Roaring Lions squared off against visiting Penn State Hazleton on Wednesday night in a PSUAC conference game.  The game was heavily anticipated by both teams due to having been cancelled earlier in the season.  The game was highly competitive by both teams and had a halftime score of 24-22 in favor of the Roaring Lions.  The two teams would continue to trade blows during the second half with Hazleton coming out on top by a final score of 57-54.

The Roaring Lions were led by Atrayo Matthews who ended the game with 16 points and 6 rebounds.  Other highlights for the Roaring Lions included Marvin Sidon with 10 points and 1 rebound and Iman Young with 9 points and 13 rebounds.

Penn State Hazleton was led by a combination of Nick Nowak with 16 points and Brandon Mohammed with a triple-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds.  Other highlights for Hazleton included Jonathan Fogarty with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Shay Nelson with 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Men's basketball will be back in action February 1st as the Roaring Lions travel to Penn State Dubois for an 8pm tipoff.
