Men's basketball dominate weekend; looks to Greater Allegheny

New Kennsington, PA- The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions were in action on Friday night as they Travel to Penn State New Kennsington for a 7pm match-up.  Things were not as even as New Kennsington would have liked as Fayette took a 45-31 lead into the half.  New Kennsington was able to hang with Fayette in the second half, but the deficit they had let grow in the first half is what would seal the game.  Fayette went on to beat New Kennsington by a final of 97-76. 

Fayette was led by a double-double performance from London Hoxie who had 31 points and 11 rebounds.  Other highlighted players for Fayette were Marvin Sidon with 21 points and 9 assists and Tavian Mozie with 17 points and 7 rebounds. 

New Kennsington was led by Keith Corbett with a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds.  Other highlighted players for New Kennsington were Dorian Broadwater with 17 points and 1 rebound and Antonio Hill with 13 points and 6 rebounds

Penn State Fayette hosted a Saturday afternoon game against Penn State Dubois where everything went Fayette's way.  Fayette was able to go on a run before the half had ended which made the score 43-33 as the teams went in the locker rooms.  In the second half Fayette came out hot and could hardly miss a shot as the Roaring Lions would win by a final of 91-57.

Fayette was led by a double-double performance from London Hoxie who finished with 32 points and 10 rebounds.  Other highlighted players for the Roaring Lions included Marvin Sidon with 16 points and 7 rebounds, and Tavian Mozie with 14 points and 3 rebounds.

Dubois was led by Dylan Huey who had 14 points and 4 rebounds.  Other highlighted players for Dubois included Jacob Perin with 11 points and 3 rebounds and Tristan Pierce with 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Men's basketball will be back in action February 12th as they travel to Penn State Greater Allegheny for an 8pm tipoff.
