
Men's basketball falls to Millersville over Holiday break
Millersville, PA - The Penn State Fayette men's basketball team stepped up in competition and lost 93-51 at Division II Millersville on Saturday, December 29.
Millersville (7-5), who is in the East Division of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), never trailed and led 44-21 at the half.
In the first half, Fayette (2-7) only hit six out of its 27 shots attempts (22.2%) and only hit three of its 14 three-point attempts (21.4%).
Fayette's statistics improved in the second half but was still outscored, 49-30.
In the second half, Fayette hit 13 out of 33 field goal attempts (39.4%) and hit four of its 15 three-point attempts (26.7%).
For the game, Fayette shot 31.7% form the field (19-60) and 24.1% (7-29) on three-point attempts.
The Nittany Lions had 14 second chance points but were limited to four fast break points.
London Hoxie (Menifee, CA/Paloma HS) led Fayette with 20 points as he made seven of 17 shot attempts while Trevor Laskody (Morgantown, WV/Trinity Christian HS) also hit double figures with 10 points in only 16 minutes of action.
Fayette has a quick turn around as it is at Clarion University, another PSAC team, for a 5:00 p.m. game on Sunday, December 30.
