The Penn State Fayette men's basketball team dropped a 102-90 Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) contest in overtime at Penn State Shenango Monday night.

"We turned the ball over 31 times tonight and that was the difference in the game," said Fayette head coach Andy Hedrick.  "In overtime, we hit our first three-pointer and didn't hit another shot."

Up 40-39 at the half, Fayette (10-14 overall, 6-12 PSUAC) could not hold on to a two-point lead with 11 seconds left and was then outscored 15-3 by Shenango (9-19, 5-13) in overtime.

Fayette shot better from the field (40.5 percent, 32-79 from the field) than Shenango (39.8 percent, 39-98 from the field), but the 31 turnovers gave Shenango 21 more shot attempts and that helped do in Fayette.  Shenango converted those turnovers into 32 points while Fayette only scored 15 points off of 18 Shenango turnovers.  Shenango also led in second chance points (16-2), points in the paint (46-30), bench points (22-15) and rebounds (47-45).

All five Fayette starters scored in double figures.  Mo Freeman (New Castle, DE/Salem Community College) led the way with 20 points while Will Hagwood (Willoughby, OH/Willoughby HS) had 17 points and nine rebounds, Tave Mozie (McClellandtown, PA/Albert Gallatin HS) finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, Gavin Postlethwait (New Martinsville, WV/Magnolia HS) recorded his first double-double with 12 points and a game-high and career-high 14 rebounds and Dom Boring (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster HS) had 12 points.  D'Montez Owens and Jashaun Cobb led six Shenango players in double figures with 28 and 23 points, respectively.

Fayette closes out the regular season at Penn State Beaver (15-9, 12-6) Thursday before preparing for the PSUAC tournament.  Thursday's tipoff is at 8 p.m.
