Mont Alto, PA - Fayette Men's Basketball Fights to the End Against Mont Alto
Fayette men's basketball played Penn State Mont Alto on Saturday in a highly contested game. Faytte fell short in a 70-65 game against the top team in the West. The stat that seperated the teams the most was that Fayette gave 34 free throws to Mont Alto, this also put a few starters for Fayette in foul trouble. The team was lead by senior guard Matt Forbes who scored 16 points. Carlton Canaday was able to tally 4 steals and Xavier Boyd was able to tally 3. Overall this was a very hard played game that has shown a lot of promise for the Fayette men's team, especially with playoffs lurking around the corner.
Coach Hendrick had this to say about the game, "We went to the wire with the number 3 team in the nation. I am very proud of our effort."
