Sharon, PA- Men's basketball got a big win against Penn State Shenango heading into playoffs.
Fayette men's basketball was able to put Penn State Shenango away last night with a final score of 106-89. This game concluded the regular season for the PSUAC and with playoffs just around the corner, this was a huge momentum builder for Fayette.
Coach Hedrick spoke on the game, "We got off to a great start last night and it carried throughout the game. We got a lot of easy transition baskets as the team did a good job of sharing the basketball."
Points were nicely distributed throughout the team with Xaiver Boyd leading the charge with 28 points, followed by Jahmere Richardson with 19, Dominic Boring with 17 and Torian Jenkins with 16.
Fayette will head to Penn State Mont Alto on Sunday for a 2:00 P.M. tipoff. Although Penn State Mont Alto is ranked second in the USCAA Coaches Poll, Fayette has shown they're beatable by defeating them early in the season at home and only losing by 5 on the road.
