Fayette came ready to play Sunday afternoon against Mont Alto, starting the game off strong with a 8 point lead going into the half. Once fouls occurred at the end that resulted in free throws to slow down the clock, Fayette lost to Mont Alto with a final score of 68-54.

Coach Hedrick commented on the game, "I am so proud of the way our players competed against a very good team. I think we went there to win not as an underdog and we did everything we could to do that. A lot happened in the second half that was beyond our control and our kids kept their heads in a tough situation. I will miss our seniors and am saddened by the season ending because I love the players on this team."

Leaders for Fayette were Torian Jenkins with 14 points and 11 rebounds, Xavier Boyd with 14 points, and Carlton Canaday with 9 points.
