Mont Alto, Pa. - The Penn State Fayette Lady Roaring Lions softball team traveled to Mont Alto on Saturday March 25th. The Lady Roaring Lions used all of their energy and ended up splitting over the weekend, (2-2).
Penn State Fayette had a lot of help from senior Miranda Nichols who had a .466 batting average against Mont Alto. Nichols also had an RBI to add on for her team. Her teammate, freshman Monica Joseph batted a .461 over the weekend. Joseph also added two RBI's for Fayette's offense side. Freshman Tiffany Markovitch is coming in strong as a freshman pitcher having 10 strikeouts for the Lady Roaring Lions.
Coming out of the Spring Training in Myrtle Beach the Fayette Lady Roaring Lions are having a good run. They are currently on a 5-2 run overall, having wins in both conference and non-conference games. They are currently tied for second in the PSUAC.
The Penn State Fayette Lady Roaring Lions look to keep on a good run as they get ready to play against Penn State New Kensington. They will travel to Alcoa Field Wednesday March 29th with their first game starting at 3:00 pm.
