Women’s Softball Put up a Fight against Allegany College of Maryland

Maryland – The Penn State Fayette Lady Roaring Lions Softball team traveled to Maryland Sunday April 2nd to play against Allegany College of Maryland. The Lady Roaring Lions were able to put up an exciting fight but still came up short Sunday afternoon being 0-2.

Penn State Fayette had another great performance by Senior Miranda Nichols who had a .500 batting average against Allegany College of Maryland. Freshman Tiffany Markovitch also had a well performed game for the Lady Roaring Lions. Markovitch had a batting average of .500 to add on for Fayette. Emily Blaker topped the Lady Roaring Lions offensive end off with an outstanding .750 batting average. Another freshman, Emily Lewis shadowing Markovitch and Nichols also batted .500. Although they were fighting hard with the bats, the Lady Roaring Lions fell to ACM 6-5 in their first game Sunday. Using all of their energy in the first battle, Fayette wasn't able to find the spark for their second game. Penn State Fayette ended their double header with a 4-1 loss.
