Roaring Lions dominate Trojans in double header

Cumberland, MD- The Roaring Lions Softball team traveled to Allegany College of Maryland to square off against the Trojans in a double header on Monday afternoon.  The Roaring Lion took full control of both games of the double header and dominated the Trojans at all aspects of the games.

In game 1, which lasted 5 innings, The Roaring Lions had the game put away by the third inning with a 6-0 lead of the Trojans.  Fayette would finish the game with a final of 10-0.  Fayette outhit the Trojans in the game 13-1.  The featured players for Fayette in game 1 were Casey Hite with 3 at bats, 2 runs, 2 hits, and 5 RBI's, Aubree Yates with 3 at bats, 3 runs, and 3 hits, and Kelsey Holp with 3 at bats, 2 runs, 2 hits, and 1 RBI.

In game 2 Fayette was able to have more of the same success.  The Roaring Lions would compile 20 hits to the Trojans 1 in another 5 inning game.  The Roaring Lions would come out on top of the contest by a final score of 14-0.  Featured players for Fayette included Hannah Kline with 4 at bats, 3 runs, 4 hits, and  2 RBI's, Kelsey Holp with 4 at bats, 1 run, 3 hits, and 5 RBI's, and Kaitlyn Wilson with 3 at bats, 3 runs, and 3 hits.

Roaring Lions Softball will be back in action on Saturday, March 24th for a PSUAC double header against visiting Penn State Greater Allegheny.  First pitch for game 1 will be at 2:00PM and first pitch for game 2 will be at 4:00PM.
