Youngwood, PA- The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions traveled to Youngwood for a softball double header against Westmoreland county Community College. Fayette was able to extend their winning streak to 6 straight games after a 13-3 victory in game one and an 11-0 victory in game two.
Fayette's highlighted players for game one included Tiffany Markovitch with 4 hits and 8 RBI's off of 4 at bats and Kelsey Holp with 3 runs off 2 hits and 3 at bats.
WCCC's highlighted players from game one included Peyton Tazza with 1 run off of 1 hit and 2 at bats and Samantha Reedy with 1 run off of 2 at bats.
Fayette's highlighted players for game two included Tiffany Markovitch with 2 runs and 4 RBI's off of 3 hits with 3 at bats and Aubree Yates with 2 runs off 3 hits and 4 at bats.
WCCC's highlighted players for game two included Marissa Roberts with 2 hits off of 2 at bats and Brianna Mccully with 1 hit off 2 at bats.
Softball will be back in action Thursday, April 12th as they host Penn State Greater Allegheny for a double header match up.
