Fayette Sweeps Mont Alto on Senior Day

After a disappointing loss to Mont Alto the previous day, Fayette rebounded to take 2 from Mont Alto Saturday afternoon.
Fayette jumped out to an early lead on an RBI double by Chanel Porter and added on with an RBI triple by Kaitlyn Wilson and a single by Hannah Kline would bring her in.
Fayette added on again in the 4th, on RBI hits from Kline, Aubree Yates, Kelsey Holp, Casey Hite and Tiffany Markovitch.
The game would be put away in the 6th when Holp smashed her 3rd homer of the season deep over the left field fence.
Casey Hit earned the win for Fayette, allowing 2 earned runs in 4 innings. Tiffany Markovitch earned a save in relief.
Cassidy Feaser took the loss for Mont Alto, allowing 9 runs on 10 hits.
Before game 2, Penn State Fayette recognized senior outfielder Caitlyn Brown. We wish her the best of luck in the future.
Mont Alto would take an early lead on an RBI single by Samantha Updegraff, but this is the only run they would score in the game.
Fayette would take the lead in the 2nd, on a sacrifice fly by Rachel Hartley and would earn other on an error.
They would add on the in the 3rd on an RBI single by Holp and again in the 6th with a RBI by Markovitch.
Markovitch earned the win in the circle, allowing only 1 earned run.
