Fayette Splits with Greater Allegheny to Finish Regular Season

Fayette traveled to Greater Allegheny Sunday to close the regular season. They would split the two games, with Fayette taking game 1 and GA winning game 2.

Fayette took the lead early in game 1, when an Aubree Yates bunt was mishandled, allowing Hannah Kline to score from first. A Kelsey Holp single and a Rachel Hartley double would plate 3 more runs.

Fayette added on 2 more in the 2nd when Yates scored on a passed ball and Casey Hite singled home Holp.

GA would get a few runs back in the 2nd on a bases clearing triple by Alyssa Guzzie.

Sacrifice flys by Kaityln Wilson and Casey Hite would build the Fayette lead, as well as an RBI fielders choice by Chanel Porter.

Fayette would then hold GA to take the win.

Tiffany Markovitch takes the in for Fayette, allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 6.

Tara Love took the loss for GA, allowing 9 runs on 13 hits.

Game 2 would see GA jump out on top early, and add on with the help of a few Fayette errors.

Fayette's lone run came on an RBI single by Holp, scoring Yates.

Lacie Lautner took the win for GA, allowing 1 run.

Tiffany Markovitch takes the loss, allowing 2 earned runs.
