Softball shut out at PS-Beaver

Monaca, PA - The Penn State Fayette softball team dropped a 3-0 decision at PSU Beaver on Monday in PSUAC action.

The game remained scoreless into the fourth when the hosts scored a pair of runs.

Beaver (21-9, 10-2 PSUAC) added an insurance run in the sixth that it would ultimately not need.

Fayette (7-12, 6-4 PSUAC) was limited offensively to a Lauren Mastowski (Dawson, PA/Frazier HS) double and singles by Tiffany Markovitch (Brownsville, PA/Brownsville HS) and Ally Hawkins (Morgantown, WV/Morgantown HS).

The loss leaves Fayette in third place in the West division.

Fayette returns to action on Wednesday when it heads to West leader PSU DuBois for a PSUAC double header.
