Media, PA- Fayette goes 1-3 over the weekend against PSUAC West teams.
Fayette had a tough loss to start off their road trip at Penn State Brandywine over the weekend with a 11-0 loss and only 1 hit by Olivia Logan. The second game of the double header looked hopeful with a 2-1 lead heading into the the seventh. However, in the bottom of the seventh Fayette couldn't hold on, losing 3-2. Fayette had a tough competition coming straight into the first game with a back and forth battle, leaving the final score 5-4 in favor of Schuylkill. Fayette was able to close out the weekend on a high note with a 3-1 win.
Coach Alex shared her thoughts on the weekend, "This was a tough weekend at the end of a very long week, not to mention some weather changes. We played tough, and although I wish we could have come away with more wins, I'm proud of our fight and resilience. We have a few more games to go and I'm hoping we can find our way into the postseason."
Fayette will close out conference play this weekend against PSU Mont Alto, but will first have "Senior Day" in a non-conference game on Friday at 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. where they will host Fransciscan.
