SB loses 2 to Grove City

Lemont Furnace, PA-Grove City showcased their dominance on the diamond as they secured a commanding doubleheader sweep against Penn State Fayette in the season-opening matchups at CC. In both games, Grove City's formidable offense and solid pitching proved too much for the home team to handle.

In the second game, Grove City continued their offensive onslaught, scoring eight runs in the first inning to set the tone for the game. Anthony led the charge with a home run and four RBIs, while Montone and Jackson also made significant contributions at the plate. Once again, Grove City's pitching staff delivered a solid performance, limiting Penn State Fayette to just four runs on nine hits. Jackson earned the win on the mound, allowing three runs and striking out four batters in four innings of work.

Despite the lopsided scores, Penn State Fayette showed resilience and determination throughout both games, battling until the final out.
