SB gets big win vs. Du Bois

Lemont Furnace, PA- Softball gets big win against Penn State Du Bois. 

Fayette was down majority of the game by as much as 3 runs and as little as 1. When it seemed like Du Bois locked up the PSUAC home opener, Fayette's bats got hot. Heaven Grum, a second year player for the team, singled and gave the young team hope. Sophia Zalar, a first year player was up next to bat. Zalar was able to perfectly execute a bunt to get on base. Liz Murphy, a second year player for Fayette, achieved a single to load the bases. It was now all up to first year player, Taryn Stewart, which successfully achieved a double. Stewart led her team to victory with a 4-3 final score in Fayette's favor. 

The second game of the double header was suspended in the bottom of the third due to weather and will continue at a later date. Fayette will continue conference play, but on the road at Penn State Greater Allegheny. The team will travel to Played at Jamie Brewster-Filotei Field - 2116 Walker Ave McKeesport, PA 15132 to play. the games have a start time of 12:00 P.M. and 2:00 P.M.
