Hazleton, PA- Fayette drops two to Hazleton.
The first game of the double header was a batters game with Fayette starting strong, going into the seventh with 6 runs to Hazleton's 2. Hazleton's bats got hot in the bottom of the seventh despite pitching changes from Coach Howell. Hazleton was able to squeak in with a 7-6 win over the young Fayette team. Despite the loss, Kylie Stevenson led for Fayette with 3 runs and 4 hits.
The second game of the double header carried the hot bats from the first, with back and forth scoring until the end. Halzeton got on a run in the sixth, scoring 5 runs, making the game 9-5. In the seventh, Fayette wasn't able to score more than 1 run, giving Halzeton the win 9-6. Despite the loss, Emily Conklin was able to achieve 3 RBIs and 2 hit. Kylie Stevenson and Sophia Zalar were not far behind, Stevenson achieved with 2 runs, 2 hits, and 1 RBI; Zalar achieved 2 hits, 2 stolen bases, and 1 run.
