Lemont Furnace, PA- Softball splits with Scranton.
Fayette started off in the lead of the first game of the double header. but bats fell silent until the end. Scranton was able to achieve 4 runs in the last two innings of the game. Fayette lost the first game with a final score of 4-3. Heading into the second game of the double header, it was a slow start for the young Fayette team, not scoring until the third inning. Fayette was able to get the bats hot in the fourth inning, by scoring 4 runs and secure the win 6-3. Leading for Fayette was Kylie Stevenson with 3 RBIs and 2 hits.
Fayette will now head into a long weekend, where they will play Friday, Saturday and Sunday to hopefully gain a spot as PSUAC playoff contenders.
