Roaring Lions fall to Apprentice

Hampton, Va. -- The Roaring Lions rebounded from a lackluster showing Friday night to give Apprentice School all it could handle Saturday at the Great Ships Classic. The Builders prevailed 85-65.

Junior Kasey Ruble (Fairchance, Pa.) lead all scorers with 22 points and dished out six assists. For her efforts, Ruble was named to the Great Ships Classic All-Tournament team for the third year.

Freshman Caitlyn Wontroba (Uniontown, Pa.) added 13 and sophomore Jill Guthrie added 12 for the Roaring Lions, while pulling down 11 rebounds.

Fayette returns to the floor on Tuesday, Nov. 22 when it travels to Stubenville to take on Franciscan University as part of a women's/men's doubleheader. Tip time for the women is 6 p.m.
