Women's Basketball fall in final seconds against PSGA

Lemont Furnace, PA- Penn State Fayette was back in action Tuesday night as they took on rival Penn State Greater Allegheny in Lemont Furnace.  The Roaring Lions were attempting to do what every team had done to Greater Allegheny so far this season, hand them another loss.  However the game did not go as planned for the Roaring Lions in the PSUAC matchup.  With a halftime deficit of just 2 points to Greater Allegheny the Roaring Lions were hopeful going into the locker room with a score of 30-28.  Fayette and Greater Allegheny came out of the locker room for the second half each exchanging blows and trading the lead of the game.  At the end of the contest Greater Allegheny had earned their first win of the season defeating the Roaring Lions at Penn State Fayette by a final score of 52-50.

The Roaring Lions were led by another standout performance by Haley Moreland with 21 points and 6 rebounds.  Other highlights for the Roaring Lions included a trio of 8 point scorers, those players being Kore Whitehead, Hanna Stockwell, and Melissa Bochnak

Penn State Greater Allegheny was led by a 15 point and 1 rebound performance from Tina Clybourn.  Distribution for Greater Allegheny was very spread out as every player that checked into the game was able to score.  Alexandra points ended the game with 9 points and Jayla Ellis and Andrea Burroughs tied for 6 points rounding out the top three scorers for Greater Allegheny. 

Women's basketball will be back in action January 26th as Penn State Brandywine visits for a 6pm tipoff.
