The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions were in action this past Saturday playing host to visiting Penn State Beaver. The Roaring Lions were never quite poised to go on to clinch the game due to a halftime deficit of 45-18. More of the same scoring would continue for both teams in the second half and the final score would go on to be 96-58 in favor of Penn State Beaver.
Fayette was led by Haley Moreland who was able to total 24 points and 4 rebounds. Other highlighted players for Fayette were Kori Whitehead 20 points and 3 rebounds.
Beaver was led by Cheyenne Lopez with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Other highlighted players for Beaver were Julia Sabbio with 13 points and 4 rebounds and Diamond Thomas with 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Women's basketball will be back in action Friday, February 9th as the Roaring Lions travel to Westmoreland County Community College for a 5:30p tipoff.
