The Roaring Lions fall in first round of USCAA Tournament

Lemont Furnace, PA- The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions took on a tough challage in the first round of the USCAA National Championships against Central Maine Community College.  Central Maine was able to take full control of the game from the opening tip.  Going into halftime Central Maine had a 56-16 lead over the Roaring Lions.  In the second half it was more of the same dominance with Central MAine going on to win the game by a final of 109-51.  Fayette will be in action on 3/2/18 to face the Warren Wilson Owls in a consolation round game.

Fayette was lead by Haley Moreland who was able to score 21 points and 5 rebounds.  Other highlighted players for Fayette were Kori Whitehead with 10 points and 1 rebound and Hanna Stockwell with 8 points and 2 assists.

Central Maine was lead by Brooke Reynolds who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds.  Other highlighted players for Central Maine were Jordyn Reynolds 18 points and 8 rebounds and Jane Lester with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
