Lemont Furnace, PA- The Roaring Lions faced off in the consolation round of the USCAA National Championship today against Warren Wilson. The Owls were able to control the game from the opening tip and were poised to a 46-29 lead going into the locker room for halftime. As the second half began Warren Wilson was able to dominate even more and ended up winning the game by a final score of 103-61.
The Roaring Lions were led by Haley Moreland who scored 25 points and 4 rebounds. Other highlighted players for Fayette were Taylor Harbaugh with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Kori Whitehead with 10 points and 2 rebounds.
The Owls were led by Danasia Dumas with a double-double of 43 points and 14 rebounds. Other highlighted players for Warren Wilson were Amber Godfrey with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Tayzha Allen with 11 points and 4 rebounds.
