WBB rolls at Allegany College of MD

Cumberland, MD - The Penn State Fayette women's basketball team picked up its third road win of the season Friday night when it won at Allegany College of Maryland, 95-28.

"We played well as a team," said head coach Scott Hillen. "We moved the ball well and the girls worked hard to get everyone involved."

A season-high six players hit double figures and all nine players scored.

Lyndsey Huhn (California, PA/California HS) led the way with 19 points, Taylor Costa (Donora, PA/Ringgold HS) scored 16, Bailey Vig (California, PA/California HS) added 15, Dae-lin Burnsworth (Monarch, PA/Connellsville HS) tallied 11 and both Kaitlyn Riley (Charleroi, PA/Charleroi HS) and Shelbie Brown (Camden, OH/Preble Shawnee HS) each chipped in with 10 points.

Costa grabbed 15 rebounds and had four steals and Huhn added 13 to record double-doubles while Riley had six assists. 

For the game, Fayette hit 37 out of 56 shots  (66%).

"Hopefully we can build off of this moving forward," Hillen said. "We don't play for eight days and it gives us a chance to focus on school and to get healthy at the same time."

Fayette returns to action on Saturday, December 15 when it hosts Penn State Mont Alto in a PSUAC contest.
