DUBOIS, Pa. - The streak continues, as the Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions women's volleyball team rolled to their 19th straight PSUAC victory, including three in last year's postseason and seven straight this year. Fayette (15-3, 7-0) defeated Penn State DuBois 3-0 (25-10, 25-5, 25-10) on Tuesday night to extend their conference success. DuBois is the last PSUAC team to defeat the Roaring Lions, winning 3-2 in DuBois last season.

Junior Leah Ambrosini (Connellsville, Pa.) led Fayette with 11 kills while freshman Samantha Helmantoler (Monongahela, Pa.) added seven. Freshman Emily Konter (Brownsville, Pa.) had eight assists and 10 digs for the Roaring Lions, while senior Katie Sleasman (Connellsville, Pa.) had a match-high 19 assists. Sleasman also contributed 15 service points, including two aces.

The Roaring Lions, ranked fifth in the USCAA, jumped out to early leads in each set, and put away the Lady Lions with a balanced offensive attack.

Fayette next hosts Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday, Oct. 1, before hosting Penn State New Kensington on Sunday, Oct. 2. Both matches are scheduled to begin at noon. The Roaring Lions have swept Greater Allegheny twice this season, including in the La Roche College Volleyball Invitational and the conference opener. It will be Fayette's first meeting with New Kensington this season.
