GREENSBURG -- Fayette earned a split in non-conference women's volleyball action at the University of Pitt-Greensburg.
The Roaring Lions opened the evening with s 3-0 (26-25, 25-16, 25-21) over the hosts in the opener.
Sophomore Emily Konter (Brownsville, Pa.) dished out 27 assists, had 7 kills and added eight digs to lead the way. Senior Leah Ambrosini (Connellsville, Pa.) notched 13 kills and nine digs for Fayette. Samanth Helmantoler (Monongahela, Pa.) added eight kills and three blocks, and Janelle Cooper (Mount Braddock, Pa.) had six kills and 11 digs.
Fayette dropped the nightcap 3-0 to Bethany.
Next up for the Roaring Lions is another match with Penn State Beaver at the LaRoche Classic on Friday.
