2013 Women's Volleyball Schedule Announced

LEMONT FURNACE – The 2013 Penn State Fayette Women's Volleyball schedule has just been released.

The Lady Roaring Lions will have 21 play dates that include regular conference foes Penn College, Penn State Beaver and Penn State Mont Alto. Fayette has seven home dates.                                                                 

In addition, Head Coach Nancy Wheeler's squad faces a tough non-conference schedule with matches at perennial USCAA power Rochester College as well as matches involving Bethany, Messiah, Marymount and La Roche.

The Lady Roaring Lions open defense of their PSUAC title by hosting Penn State Greater Allegheny at 7 p.m. in the season's first conference game.

Fayette will get to settle some unfinished business on Oct. 13 when it faces Penn College at Penn State Hazleton. Fayette and Penn were to have faced each other in last year's PSUAC Championship game. The contest was eventually washed out by Hurricane Sandy.

Tradition rival Penn State Mont Alto makes a rare visit to the Lion's Den on Sept. 29 at part of a tri-match that includes Penn State York.
