Post-Season Honors Roll in for Lady Roaring Lions
LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. – The magical "Season of Seven" for the Lady Roaring Lions continues to get better a several players were named to post season honors.
Senior Emily Konter's (Brownsville, Pa.) season was already memorable because she became the school's all-time career assists leader. It became even more special when Konter was named First Team USCAA All-American, USCAA All-Academic and was the recipient of the first-ever USCAA Student-Athlete of the Year award.
In addition, she was once again First Team All-PSUAC and the PSUAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.
Samantha Helmantoler (Monongahela, Pa.) wrapped up her career by being named a USCAA Honorable Mention All-American and First Team All-PSUAC
Sophomores Kelsey Tyler (Canonsburg, Pa.) and Caitlyn Williams (Dunbar, Pa.) were both named First Team All-PSUAC.
And for the sixth consecutive season, Nancy Wheeler was named PSUAC Coach of the Year.
