Lemont Furnace, Pa - Building off of a rustic previous weekend of competition, the Lady Roaring Lions Volleyball team steam-roll competition at the 2016 WPCC-PSUAC Challenge hosted by Penn State Beaver.
Fayette matched off with Penn Highlands College as the first of two matches on Friday, September 2nd. Fayette stole the match with a deciding match series of 25-15, 25-17, and 25-12. Lead by team veterans, Kelsey Tyler and Emma Lewis each served 4 aces. Victoria Helmantoler provided an impressive 29 assists on the series while blocking was lead by Janelle Cooper (10) and Siteri Tale (12).
Fayette closed the evening's events with another decisive win against CCBC going 25-3, 25-9, and 25-13. Notable leaders of the match include Emma Lewis with 4 aces and 9 kills, Siteri Tale with 8 kills, and Tori Helmantoler with 29 assists.
The Fayette Lady Roaring Lions look to continue their winning ways against Carlow University on Wednesday, Sept 7th at 7pm.
