The Fayette Roaring Lions beat Penn State LeHigh in the first round yesterday to advance to the PSUAC Championship. Fayette won the match with a score of 3-0. Fayette's championship bout wil be against Penn State Mont Alto tonight at 7:00 PM at the Rec Hall at University Park.
Kelsey Tyler and Tori Helmantoler performances on Tuesday night led Fayette to a victory against Penn State LeHigh and eraned them a date with Mont Alto for the Championship. Kelsey recorded a team high 13 kills. Tori had 31 assists, she also had 9 digs and recorded 5 kills for a well-balanced game.
The winner of tonights game between Fayette and Mont Alto will have an automatic bid into the USCAA National Championship Tournament. Penn State is currently the #9 seed in the USCAA Tournament but is subjected to change depending on the game tonight. Fayette has had an incredible year, going undefeated in the conference but they risk it all tonight against Mont Alto. The volleyball team organized a fan bus for tonights Championship game so go out and support your Fayette Roaring Lions!
