Fayette Volleyball downs DuBois for first conference win

Lemont Furnace, PA- On Wednesday, the Roaring Lions hosted the Penn State DuBois Volleyball team in a PSUAC match-up at 7:00 PM in the Community Center Gym. This was the 2nd home game of the season for the Roaring Lions, but the first conference home game of the season. Before the game, former Roaring Lions volleyball player, Caitlyn Williams, was recognized for her record in digs for Penn State Fayette. The award was presented by Athletic Director, Lou Zadecky.  

The Roaring Lions defeated DuBois, 3-0. The sets went 25-20, 25-17 and 25-11. The Roaring Lions were outstanding and had great chemistry during these sets. Some leaders for the Roaring Lions were Siteri Tale, who tallied 15 kills. Kyonte Martin and Morgan Pytlak both had 5 kills and 4 digs overall and Machaela Hall had 19 assists on the evening.  

This weekend, the Roaring Lions volleyball team will play in 4 conference games. They will travel to Penn State Mont Alto for two days of PSUAC competition. On Saturday, they will be facing Penn State Mont Alto in the first game, which begins at 4:00 PM. The second game will begin directly after against Penn State York at 6:00 PM. On Sunday, Penn State Fayette will take on Penn State Brandywine at 12:00 PM and finish off the weekend against Penn State Schuylkill at 2:00 PM.
